What's the math behind SharpMush™?It calculates the percentage of bets placed by Sharps and Mushes to uncover valuable insights.
Here’s an example:
Notice on the right, 60% of the best bettors are on OSU.
42% of the worst bettors are on OSU.
SharpMush = Best% – Worst%
SharpMush= 60-42 = 18%
SharpMush = 18% suggesting take OSU
Remember, SharpMush measures the DIFFERENCE between what the good and bad bettors are taking.
If good and bad bettors are doing the same thing, SharpMush will be low.
If good and bad bettors are taking opposite sides, SharpMush will be high

What defines a “good” and “bad” bettor?With everyone on Juice Reel linking in their betting accounts, we know who is a good bettor, who is a medium bettor, and who is a bad bettor.
Every day we rank (and re-rank) every user using Juice Reel, and the rankings are based on a composite score of a bunch of betting metrics (i.e. Profit, ROI, Win %, others).
What SharpMush strength % is considered “enough”Let’s say only 2 people bet on the game so far: 1 good bettor and 1 bad bettor.
If the good bettor takes TeamA and the bad bettor takes TeamB, all the good bettors would be on TeamA and all the bad bettors would be on TeamB which would yield a SharpMush=100%
While that SharpMush=100% is mildly interesting in that example, it’d be way more insightful if SharpMush=100% and there was hundreds of bettors instead of just 2.
What is considered a “good” SharpMush to bet on depends both on the SharpMush % along with the amount of bettors in the sample size.
